Outdoor Pillow Cover

Last summer I bought some throw pillows for our patio furniture which recieves direct sunlight for most of the day. As you'd imagine, they were pretty faded by the end of the summer even though they were in good form otherwise. The pillows were around $15 each, so I hated to throw them away. (See below...)

I happilly stumbled across a tutorial on  how to recover a pillow {here} at Cottage Magpie. I used a coupon at JoAnn's and got some bright and colorful outdoor fabric at a great price. In no time at all, I had fresh-looking "new" pillows for the patio!

You just tuck it into the cover like when you use a pillow sham.

Flip it over, and there you have it! I even had a little extra fabric I was able to use to make another pillow. I'm so pleased with how these turned out! Also, instead of spending $45 on new pillows, I spent about $10 on the fabric! A great savings!! Yay!

  11. I love this and am getting ready to do the same thing!!!! Your fabric is a lot cuter though. I am using some fabric that I've had for a while, just to get rid of it. But, I do love yours!!
